the “low impact” Rear-end collision

A client was rear-ended at a red light. The insurance adjuster argued the damage was “too minor” for injury.  We obtained medical records showing a cervical strain and an MRI confirming a disc bulge.  Settlement increased significantly once the insurer realized we were prepared for litigation.

FEHA Discrimination / Retaliation

An employee with excellent performance reviews suddenly saw her hours cut after reporting ongoing harassment from a supervisor. HR claimed it was part of “business needs,” but internal emails revealed the supervisor was “tired of her complaints.” When she was eventually terminated, we proved retaliation under FEHA and secured compensation for lost wages, emotional distress, and penalties.

Breach of Contract / Unpaid Invoice

A vendor refused to pay a small business for completed work, claiming the project was “unfinished” despite signed approvals at each phase. After reviewing communications and contract terms, we demanded full payment and applicable interest. The vendor paid after an effective demand letter.

A jogger injured

A jogger rolled his ankle after stepping on a crumbled, sunken curb edge. The fall caused a severe ankle sprain.  The curb had been deteriorating for months, and photos posted online proved the hazard existed well before the injury.

Wage Theft / Off-the-Clock Work

A restaurant server was required to clock out before finishing closing duties each night, losing hundreds of hours in unpaid wages. Management insisted “everyone does it,” but time-card records and security footage showed consistent off-the-clock work. We recovered unpaid wages, interest, meal- and rest-break penalties, and attorneys’ fees.

 Partnership Misconduct

A partner secretly diverts clients to his newly formed competing company, leaving the original business struggling. Financial records and email trials revealed the diversion scheme. We negotiated a buyout on favorable terms and secured damages for breach of fiduciary duty

SURPRISE-Fall Injury

A delivery driver approached a residence when a dog ran toward him growling. The driver backed up quickly to avoid being bitten and twisted his knee on uneven pavement. The homeowner claimed the dog “just barks.”

Wrongful Termination

A worker raised concerns about safety violations and, within weeks, was written up for fabricated “performance issues” before being terminated. We proved the timing was retaliatory, obtained reinstatement options, and negotiated a monetary settlement for retaliation and wrongful termination.

Insurance Coverage DisputE

A business filed a legitimate property-damage claim, but the insurer attempted to deny coverage using vague exclusions. After a detailed coverage analysis, we challenged the denial, forced reconsideration, and recovered funds for repairs and business interruption with a threat of litigation.
